La scorsa settimana a Memphis per il Beale Street Music Festival, Miley Cyrus ha urlato "Free Britney". Per questo motivo, lunedì sera un noto fan di Britney (che si è fatto decine di meet and greet con la principessa del pop), ha chiesto alla Cyrus cosa pensasse della situazione della Spears. Sembra che Miley abbia risposto: "Non posso credere a quello che le stanno facendo. Certo che io difendo lei, è molto triste quello che le fanno".
Queste parole dette da Miley hanno un peso particolare, visto che il manager di Britney, Larry Rudolph, ha seguito anche la Cyrus nel periodo Bangerz e quindi lei conosce bene il team della collega.
